PRODUCT INFORMATION

Fuzzy Inference Development Environment is a complete set of easy-to-use tools optimized for developing fuzzy logic products and research. The FIDE tool describes solutions to control systems without using complex mathematical models, simplifies design process to reduce development cost, and covers the entire design spectrum from concept to code development to implementation. The tool set is tightly integrated with Motorola MCU product line and offers a graphical debugging environment for real-time controls and simulations. The block oriented graphical CAD composer enables easy interface to non-fuzzy C modules to build the system-level executables. FIDE automatically generates Java, ANSI C, MatLab, and assembly code for Motorola 6805, 68HC05, 68HC08, 68HC11, 68HC12, 68HC16, and 6833X microchips.

Step-by-Step Illustration of Design using FIDE

Inference Engine: The patented, fast Truth-Value Flow Inference (TVFI) method & the conventional Mamdani method (center of gravity).

Membership Function Editor: Text and graphical editors support triangle, polygon, arbitrarily shaped MFs. It provides various MF templates for easy use and a tool to transform given MFs to desired shapes.

Rule Macros/Rule Matrix: Offer powerful text and graphical editing tools for building inference engines in a user-friendly, spreadsheet-like environment.

Tracer: Isolates portions of fuzzy systems, and traces from any program point back to source efficiently.

Analyzer: Graphically visualises fuzzy control systems, automatically traces any point on control surface to source code, provides rotated color displays of cross sections, contours and control surfaces.

Simulator: Use data from input files or internal waveform generators to execute fuzzy operations in time domain, plots time curves for comparison of phase, convergence, & discontinuities.

Waveform Generators of pulse trains, sinusoidal, exponential, noise, & various combinations of them.

Realtime Code (RTC) Generators: Convert fuzzy algorithms into compact programs of ANSI C, Java, MatLab, and assembly code for Motorla 6805, 68HC05, 68HC08, 68HC11, 68HC12, 68HC16, and 6833X chips.

CAD Composer: Provides interface to non-fuzzy C modules to compile and build integrated system-level executables for realtime simulations and controls.
