DataBuster ™ Shopping Agent Demo

Based on Aptronix patented fuzzy logic technologies, DataBuster ™ is a softwwre agent engine. It is used to build various data mining agents to dramatically reduces the amount of data presented to web surfers and data base searchers. This DataBuster ™ engine has been used to develop an Internet Shopping Agent shown on the left-hand side. It helps Internet shoppers select portable computers from a fake store, where only Notebook and Laptop series are available. To proceed, you need to
(1) select your preferences of CPU, RAM, price, etc.
(2) click the Search button (takes 30 sec in Netscape)
(3) the search result is a list of items that meet your preference with degrees of relevance in descending order. Items of relevance less than 0.10 are not listed.

Intelligent Advantage: DataBuster ™ shopping agent selects a small number of items that meet shopper's preference with high degrees of relevance. Relevance degree ranges from 0.0 (0%) to 1.0 (100%), with 1.0 the highest. DataBuster ™ technology is in direct contrast with other agents that pick and list a large number of items, both relevant and irrelevant.
